Documents You Need to Rent a Car in Serbia
Driver's license, passport, age limits and payment methods — everything you must prepare before renting a car in Belgrade.

Renting a car in Belgrade is simple, but having the right documents ready makes the pickup at the airport or office faster.
1. Valid driver's license — held for at least 1 year. EU, UK, US, Canadian and Australian licenses are accepted as-is. Drivers from other countries should bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) together with their national license.
2. Passport or ID card — citizens of EU/Schengen can rent with an ID; non-EU drivers must show a passport.
3. Minimum age 21 — some premium and SUV classes require 23+ or 25+.
4. Payment — cash (EUR or RSD) or credit/debit card. Unlike most agencies in Serbia, Rent a Car M asks for NO deposit, NO card pre-authorization and NO blocked funds.
5. For crossing borders out of Serbia (Montenegro, Bosnia, Croatia, Hungary) you need written permission and a Green Card — we prepare both free of charge.
Bring these documents and you can drive away from our Belgrade office or the airport in under 10 minutes.
